Sloane Helicopters Ltd. has been operating a satellite base in Mallorca since 1995. Sloane Helicopters Mallorca has 3 full time pilots, 2 CAA Examiners, a Ground Examiner and a Radiotelephony Examiner. The Mallorca fleet comprises of 5 Robinson R44’s, 1 Robinson R22 and 2010 saw the introduction of the AW109 Power for inter-island and mainland Spain charter.
Mallorca is ideally suited for helicopters with favourable weather all year round and only 2 hours flight time from the UK. As Mallorca is one of the top European holiday destinations, flights are easily found and reasonably priced throughout the year. Mallorca has everything to offer from sun drenched golden beaches to mountains climbing to over 4,500 feet.
Training
Sloane Helicopters Mallorca specialises in the full JAA PPL (H) training, R22 and R44 Type Ratings and also advanced training with courses such as Mountain Flight Training and Water Familiarization Operations in the Robinson R44 Clipper.
Charter
A wide range of helicopter charter is also available to suit all needs and budgets, with Island Sightseeing Tours, Heli-Dining in one of Mallorca’s exclusive 5 star hotels and the extremely popular Heli-Picnic. The AW109 Power is also available for inter-island charter to Ibiza, Formentera and Menorca as well as Mainland Spain, Andorra and even as far as direct to Monaco Heliport.
