Type Rating Courses (H)
Sloane are a CAA approved Flight Training Organisation (FTO). With our team of highly experienced career instructors and in-house examiners, we provide outstanding helicopter flight training. We also ensure that we maintain close relationships with the helicopter manufacturers for any technical enquiries.
If you wish to train on other helicopter types, want to carry more passengers, or require more speed and comfort; then Sloane can provide specific Type Rating training on a range of helicopter types, which include:
- Robinson R22
- Robinson R44
- Bell 206
- AgustaWestland AW109E Power
- AgustaWestland AW109S Grand
Each Type Rating course consists of a period of theoretical and flight training plus a test. We pride ourselves in providing both quality and quantity, therefore our courses require a minimum of 5 hours flight training for single engine ratings, or a subsequent twin engine rating, and 8 hours flight training for an initial twin engine rating.
The amount of time that you will require depends very much on the individual's experience.
Sloane also provide "differences" course between the AgustaWestland AW109E and Agusta AW109S helicopters, subject to the relevant Type Ratings held. The AW109SP differences course in the UK can only be provided by Sloane.
