Additional Details Flight Instructor Course (H)
Pre-requirements:
An applicant for the Flight Instructor Course (H) must be at least 18 years of age
An applicant must hold a current and valid UK CAA or JAR-FCL approved pilots licence
An applicant must have met the theoretical knowledge requirements for the CPL (H)
An applicant must hold a valid JAR-FCL approved class 1 medical certificate
An applicant must pass a pre-entry flight test
If an applicant is a holder of a CPL(H) or ATPL(H), they must hold at least 250 flying hours, including 100 flying hours as Pilot in Command
License Validity:
The issue of the JAR-FCL Flight Instructor Course (H) is valid for a maximum of 3 years.
Flight Instructor (H) Air Exercises Syllabus:
30 hours of flight training, which must include at least 25 hours dual instruction and up to 5 hours of mutual flying (if applicable to practice flight demonstrations).

125 hours theoretical knowledge instruction, which must include 40 hours tuition, 78 hours teaching practice and 7 hours progress checks.
