Additional Details Commercial Pilot Licence
Pre-requirements:
- An applicant for the CPL course must be at least 18 years of age.
- A applicant must hold a valid JAR-FCL approved Class 1 medical certificate.
- An applicant must hold at least a valid Private Pilots Licence (H).
- An applicant must have passed all the professional theoretical CPL (H) exams and ATPL (H) exams.
- An applicant must have completed 155 hours flight experience, including 50 hours as Pilot in Command of which 10 hours must be cross-country.
License Validity:
The issue of the JAR-FCL CPL (H) is valid for a maximum of 5 years.

- Aircraft General Knowledge
- Flight Performance and Planning
- Human Performance and Limitations
- Meteorology
- Navigation
- Operational Procedures
- Principles of Flight
- Communications (VFR)
CPL (H) Skill Test:
- Section 1: Pre-flight and post flight checks and procedures.
- Section 2: Hover maneuveres, advanced handling and confined areas.
- Section 3: Navigation - en-route procedures.
- Section 4: Flight procedures and maneuveres by sole reference to instruments.
- Section 5: Abnormal and emergency procedure.
