High speed and outstanding performance, are essential features for Air Ambulances when answering emergency telephone calls. To fulfill these requirements the WNAA and DLRAA have selected the fastest civilian helicopter in the world - the AgustaWestland AW109E Power. With top speeds of 200mph, the AgustaWestland AW109E Power can be airborne in just 45 seconds.
The AgustaWestland AW109E Power also has low cabin vibration, which is essential when transporting serious head, neck and spinal injuries. The helicopter has enough cabin and storage space for medical equipment and two fully assembled stretchers. The WNAA and DLRAA have saved countless lives from providing life saving treatment and medical support, while traveling patients to hospital in the AgustaWestland AW109E EMS configured helicopter, operated by Sloane.
The superior acceleration, high versatility and functional cabin layout of the AgustaWestland AW109E Power, are just a few reasons that reflect why the helicopter is the preferred Air Ambulance choice in so many Countries across the world.
